Gotta say that this is one a much better read than originally thought. Roy does such a great job in his descriptions, so much so that it makes you feel like you are right there. I'm so please that I got the opportunity to read this one. I won this great book on GoodReads and like I do with most my wins I will be paying it forward by giving my win either to a friend or library to enjoy

I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads. I was a little skeptical at first being that this is not typically the type of book I would be reading, but Roy caught my attention immediately. The book is filled with very picturesque descriptions of the cultures and lifestyle of someone from the Philippines. A very touching story. Well worth reading!
