Was this book realistic? Hell nah. Even though it's a story about a girl who falls in love with an actor, it was very unrealistic when it came to:
The sorority life.

I'm not a sorority girl, but my sister is. And all of her friends and roommates are sorority girls too. And I'm a curious person who likes to ask them a lot of questions.
And these are the few things the author seemed to not have an understanding about:

• The word "pledge" is considered a slur to frats/soror

Fiona Arlett escaped a life of rules and dairy cows to live it up and go to college.
The most renowned sorority - Phi Delta Chi - holds the best parties.
As a member Fiona has to join in with their competition.
The prize? One exclusive night with James Reid. Ex-teen-TV actor, current undergrad.

Only the winner is allowed to have him.
But... James might have banged Fiona against a wall, and through it. Literally.

3.5 stars. I enjoyed this book primarily for one reason...the h. She was well written. well developed, funny with a believable strength and stubbornness. The beginning (not the very beginning, though) showcased her personality spot on and I was hooked on knowing more.

There were editing issues and some OTT moments that had me rolling my eyes, but I was captivated by Fiona's narrative. She could have easily come across as slutty, arrogant and unlikable; instead, she was bold, fierce, confident an

Re-read update: still love the shit out of Fiona and have to say that since I'd read this book she is my most beloved kick-ass female character!

So, for the sake of kiss-ass chicks

description

Ok this was a fun read. The story is ok, James is quite nice and I do like him but Fiona is just fierce!

She is the reason I'm giving this book 4 stars. She is hilarious, she has self esteem to the moon and back , she's strong and she takes what she wants. It's so refreshing to have a female character that is not runnin

I really enjoyed this book. James Games was the kind of book that has a big bundle of crazy in it, moments that are almost too much to be believable and yet, I was able to see beyond the craziness and over the top moments and I loved it. I laughed so hard while reading and this book kept a smile on my face almost the entire time I was reading it.

4.5 Stars!

Fiona Arlett is a wild animal out of her cage. Concerts, Sorority parties and boys... lots and lots of boys, that's what her college is going to be all about, and she's there, ticking off sexcapades from her list. But when her sorority holds a competition involving James Reid and the rules are to steer clear from him until the end, she's about to be doomed because guess what? She already banged him.

“People don’t need to be strong enough to face reality,” I finish. “They need to be strong enough to understand that reality might be different from what they’ve always been taught. And that doesn’t have to be a bad thing.”

I receiver a digital copy from the author in exchange of an honest review.

I gave Adrian Lessons four weak stars but I have to admit that it was closer to three. It was the debut novel of L. A. Rose and considering that it was amazing. I

This book was recommended to me by my friend Ellers and I'm so glad I read it.

Fiona from the start, is represented as a sassy, slightly mad, five-foot ball of laughs. She is what makes this novel so damn hilarious and wonderful. The opening lines draw you right in and don't let go. I was instantly in love with the narrative and only started reading it in the first place thanks to Hellvis quoting from the book.

I ask her, 'What book is this?'

DNF @34%.

I tried...I really did. But the h was super annoying. While I understand she was out to sow her wild oats after leaving the Amish community, I still found myself wanting to bop her in the head a time or two. Also, even though I was 34% into the book, I still did not get enough of the infamous James.

There was too much rambling. The plot was meh.

I just had to move on.

I think it's official to say I'm a fan of L.A. Rose. I didn't quite love James Games as much as I loved Adrian Lessons, but it doesn't diminish the fact that I still enjoyed this book. I don't know how she does it, but she captures the elements I love and wish to see more in the new adult genre. I love Fiona. She's quirky, hilarious, awesome, free spirit and is just a wonderful character in general.

Note: I was provided a copy of this book for review.

The story Rose has created is one that is very addictive, and it is one that is engaging and easy to read. There is a wonderful pace to the story and nothing is rushed, nor is it drawn out. There is depth to the characters and not everything about them is revealed immediately, with more information about who they are emerging as the story goes on. This gives a realistic feel to the novel where things are learnt about people gradually, not in a

I received James Games as a prize in a giveaway by the author L.A. Rose. I am giving an honest review after reading this book.

Fiona: “I can fight my own battles.” James: “I know. But something about you makes me want to fight those battles for you”. (Yep, that made me like James a whole lot more!)

I don’t know quite where to start in describing this book! I found it sexy, flirty, sassy and fun, but there were also some serious situations that added depth to the story. I really like Fiona, the mai

4.5 Stars…or an A grade since this is college ;-)

“Excellent weather we’re having, isn’t it? Perfect for nudity.”

Why in the world is this girl Fiona Arlett naked and jumping out a window? That’s the first thing you have to wonder as the story opens, and the first impression you get of Fiona.

Fearless…daring…in your face. Fiona is living it up during her first year at UCSD. She’s pledging a sorority; enjoying the college scene; and indulging her sexual appetite. Fionna might come off promiscuous

After reading this author's previous book, Adrian Lessons, which I absolutely loved-I was really looking forward to James Games. I'm still a bit on the fence about this one. It didn't flow quite as well, and there were some points that made it a bit too edgy.

After reading Adrian Lessons (also by L.A. Rose) I didn't think it was possible to laugh so much, but, I was wrong. Very wrong. James Games killed me.

Right from the off, when Fiona is perched on a window-ledge contemplating death by sorority sister, or jumping from the second floor, I was hooked. And not a cringey hilarious either, the sort of hilarious that makes you quote pa
