Disappointingly average poems about nature and memory. The situations and sentiments are relatable but the language so plain that nothing sticks out. I only marked one interesting metaphor: “history is a circle / and war its Ouroboros.” Also, Luttrell has an obnoxious habit of writing “with” as “w/” – shorthand that doesn’t lend itself to poetic rhythm.
