I got this book as a remainder, deeply discounted. I'm still not sure it was worth the price. Perhaps I'm spoiled by 101cookbooks.com, which matches much more closely with my own cooking sensibilities, and seems to be much more concerned with *healthy* vegetarian cooking. There are maybe one or two recipes in this entire book that I will try--the others are either too close to things already in my repertoire, or don't really meet my criteria for healthy foods.

Thought this would be much better than it was...most recipes required a lot of prep work/time and some required odd/hard to find ingredients, thus making for 'expensive' cooking. Not for me.

Recipes I might like to make are Saucy Asian Noodle Salad p. 96 & Haroset and Matzo Casserole p 327. Others seem odd and require a lot of prep.
Erin
Not as good as their other cookbooks

Very disappointing. Some Moosewood books are gems -- in this one it appeared that they ran out of good ideas and just put as many weird ingredients together as they could. I found two recipes to try.

I love all of the Moosewood books. This one is pretty cool, in that it plans full menus around reasons to celebrate. We could all use more reasons for festivities in our lives, and this book delivers.

B Acutally not as good as some of the other Moosewood Cookbooks, this cookbook includes holiday menus so you don't even have to figure out what goes together.
Valerie
I like the ideas of the party menus, but rarely have time to prepare them.
