Southern Secrets is the second book in the Southern series by Shelley Stringer. I really liked this book. Well written. About Vampires, Ocros, who are the bad people. Aldon are the good. The Navy Seals all sound like muscle and wonderful guys. They are so good to their women. Ev is an Aldon. He helps protect Chandler when her husband Navy Seal Banton is away, from the Ocros. Beau is Banton's dog and can smell the Ocros. There is a lot going on in this book. You have to read it. A very good read. ...more

I liked this series, well at least the first few chapters of book 1. The reason I said that because I liked Chandler at the beginning of the series. I liked her character but she lost that in book 2 and not mention that there was no story in book 2. In book 2 she became so whinny. I am reading book 3 and I do believe that you can skip book 2 in the series and you won't feel like miss anything. It really is too bad because the storyline was pretty good and it could have turned into an awesome ...more

* I received an e-book in exchange for an honest review. *

Author Shelley Stringer is new to the book writing industry, with this being her second book, but if you were to read her books without knowing this, you would at once assume that she is a seasoned writer that has been doing it forever! Her stories are fresh, her writing is on point and her characters are the best friends that you have been looking for your entire life.

This book just draws you into it right from the start and you cannot,

The story continues, if you read the first book, Southern Comfort you know it ended in a big shocker and you just needed to know what was going to happen next. It picks up right where we left of and the author has a way with getting you into the story. You feel like you are right there with them living it. I loved ALL the characters in book one so I won't mention them again but I still think Ev is my fave. He is just so awesome, the best friend anyone can have. I also liked that the author ...more

Another great read by Shelley L. Stringer! After Book 1, Southern Comfort, I’ve been anxiously awaiting this release – I had it downloaded within hours of its release and read it in a day! This sequel definitely didn’t disappoint unless you count the disappoint I felt when I realized I had come to the end of this book and would have to wait another four months or so to learn what happens to the characters I’ve grown to love. You will love them too. If you loves romance novels – this one is ...more

WOW! Just WOW! Southern Secrets packs a powerful punch in picking up after Southern Comfort without losing a beat! I love the character's of these book because they are so skillfully crafted. Each character is relevant to the story line and pull you into their world making you feel like you know them personally....that they are family. From Banton and Chandler to Beau, the dog, everyone in this book plays a key role in the story development. I especially love Everett and would love to have him ...more

Southern Secrets picked up right where Southern Comfort left off and it definitely did not disappoint! I loved this book just as much as the first and I fell in love with the cast of characters even more! This story begins with Chandler and Banton’s beautiful wedding and their brief honeymoon to a cabin in the mountains. Unfortunately, they are attacked by the Orcos while skiing and have to quickly return home. From there it’s one attack after another and I found myself wondering when these poor ...more

It took me much longer to read and finish this book than I first thought it would. I work full-time (that had something to do with it), but this book just seemed to drag on for me. The beginning felt very slow and it was easy to set down – which wasn’t the case in book one. Don’t get me wrong, I like the series but the character’s actions/reactions is getting a bit too unbelievable – even for fiction. The Aldons and Seals, as well as their lady loves, are victims of sporadic acts of v
