This book is about firefighters on thanksgiving trying to prepare their dinner but keep getting interrupted by the emergency calls. I would let my students read for fun if they were younger reads.

I just loved this one, and so did the five year-old that I babysit! We loved the story, the pictures, and most of all the feeling of goodness that it left us with.

Not as cute as I had hoped, but Spencer still enjoys anything with firefighters.

The rhyming narrative and bold colors of the illustrations combine for a dramatic, yet entertaining story. Every time the firefighters try to start their Thanksgiving dinner preparations, they get a call for help. Our girls enjoyed this story very much.
