Here is the story of a group of firefighters ready to make the best of a Thanksgiving at the station--but their feast preparations keep being interrupted by various emergency calls. With the firefighters out fighting fires, and the food uncooked back at the station, how will they have a feast? The ending reminds us that we have many people to be thankful for--even if we've never met them!

The rhyming narrative and bold colors of the illustrations combine for a dramatic, yet entertaining story. Every time the firefighters try to start their Thanksgiving dinner preparations, they get a call for help. Our girls enjoyed this story very much.
