I finally got around to reading this (strangely enough I decided to do that after rewatching the first episode ever of Sailor Moon) and I must say I'm surprised at how different it is from the anime. I thought it wouldn't be that much, but even the same cards have different capturing plots. And it apparently wasn't Sakura's fault all the cards flew away in the first place. But I guess it's understandable that the manga would have a tighter plot and the anime would have more filler episodes. (I'v

the anime for this was on all the time when i was younger and i really enjoyed watching the show, but the manga differs from the anime a bit, which isn’t a bad thing. fist off, the first series is only 6 books, the second one is only six too, and this kind of surprised me at first because the anime had something like 50 episodes, and after reading the manga i saw how much filler was in the anime. the captures in the manga are all major cards (none of the cheap cards like the move card…) and the

Almost unbearably cute; definitely intended for a younger crowd than, say, X/1999. I like this mostly as backstory for Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, which I love, as TRC features AU versions of CS's main characters. In the end, this series loses points from me for featuring my least favorite plot twist ever no less than 4 different times.

I'm reading this because my best friend read it as a kid and I remember seeing some episodes of the anime on TV as a kid, but I couldn't remember much about the show other than its cuteness. My bff told me a lot about the effed up relationships/love interests and I was like.... wow, I don't remember any of that. I mean... they're like 10. And a teacher <spoiler>proposed!?!?!!? to</spoiler> his student!? That's just too frickin weird for words. Not to mention the lesbian-2nd-cousin-lo

My first exposure to Japanese manga (or at least the first manga book I've read in years!), and it was a good one! Very predictable, but I still enjoyed it, and might just finish the other 5 books in the Cardcaptor Sakura series. Cute illustrations, as is typical of Japanese manga and anime. And BTW, I learned that it is pronounced Mon-ga, not Mang-a. And this is specifically Shojo manga, meaning a girl story. Shojo manga is typically about a heroine striving for love and friendship (as oppo

I am loving this manga already! The anime used to be on all the time but I never got to watch it much. So, I thought it was not all that intresting(is that the spelling?). Then I decided right now after years to read it.
I must say it was all cute, funny and sweet. The concept of 4th grade girl(who is so cute!!) catching cards created by a wizard/magician Clow Reed is really int...fascinating(I was gonna say interesting----> is that right?).

Review on the first three volumes.
This series is absolutely, ridiculously adorable, and the very definition of a Magical Girl series. The plot is rather simplistic so far as I read, but who cares? Of course, anything supernatural that happens involves a Clow card, so it might get tiring after repeatedly seeing the routing where the characters go "Oh no!Something strange is happening what do we do?!" and then "Oh! It's a Clow Card! How do we capture it?" The artwor More...

I rate this book a 4.25
This series is about a girl named Sakura, who becomes a "card capturer" of the cards that control magic. She must collect them all, and if she doesn't, the world will end. She makes friends and renews friendships, and realizes the true meaning of love.

Yet another installment to the CLAMP universe. (Or should I say multiverse?) Sakura Kinomoto is a normal fourth grade student. She lives with her older brother and father. One day she finds a strange book filled with these strange cards. She accidentally scatters the magical Clow Cards all over the place. The guardian beast of the seal, Keroborous, charges her with finding the cards, making her a cardcaptor. This series is one of CLAMP's cuter stories if I must say. The overall art is cute, the

YAY for CLAMP!!! YAY for Girlpower(In CLAMP and the manga)!!! CCS is the reason i realized why people are crazy about manga/anime...Sakura and Syaoran 4ever!!! :)
Even then, i do have one complaint...why stop at just 5 volumes??? Why would you do this to me CLAMP why???
Back to the normal world; probably the only drawback anybody(girls) can find in this manga is that it is too short when it had so much potential...but then, the anime pretty much made up for that with 70 episodes and 2 More...

Well, yah sampai sekarang belum mendapatkannya :P

Now that I've finished reading the first three volumes I noticed that the Manga version of CCS is really much shorter than the Anime, thus hasn't got any fillers, unlike the anime. (Really, the FLOAT card and the MOVE card are really useless... -.-) But it's still just as good! I really like this manga, and the CLAMP girls always know how to make their works the best ones ever. Just read and you'll see!

I love CLAMP's art style and storytelling styles as well. CCS is light, sweet and has some adult undertones as well. In this story line, there are many types of relationships and various forms of love, which is nice for younger readers to be exposed to because really, there is no "right" or "wrong" when it comes to the matters of the heart.

Sakura is part of my childhood like few things are. I own the entire collection, and throughout my childhood I had many, many toys related to the series. There's really nothing bad I can say about this universe, its plots or its characters.

One of my favorites in manga and anime. Make sure to check out both because not only is the manga great but the anime is just as good! Plus they have some anime movies to go along with the story.

Hmmm.... I watched the anime, and I liked it a lot. I might read the manga. I read in one of the comments that the plot is kind of different... I guess I'll read it sometime and find out.

What a cute manga! Sure, it's rather silly in places (especially the card catching part) and the heroine is just a ten-year-old girl, but it's a classic! I love Sakura and her family, the way Toya (her older brother) teases her and calls her a "Godzilla" just to annoy her - on the other hand, when Sakura's in danger, he gets fiercely protective and that's just awesome! The most interesting part for me, though, is the relationship between Toya and his best friend Yukito.

i have this one. it is sooo KAWAII! ohemgeee im gonna burst.UWAH! why cant i find the cardcaptor, not master of the clow? hmm.

It was quite wierd for the girl,Sakura,to know that she is a card captor. If I borrowed more book of this series I would tell you.

This series is absolutely adorable. Sakura's best friend Tomoyo doesn't freak out about her magic. Instead, she dresses her up in cute outfits and films her capturing the cards. Sakura must capture all of the Clow cards in order to stop them causing trouble, but Li Shaoran shows up to get in the way. After they get over their rivalry, they make an adorable first love couple. The relationship between Sakura's older brother and his best friend may bother some parents, but it isn't blatant. Other t

Great art, funny humor. Lack of coherent plot. (Par for the course with CLAMP)

This is probably my most favorite CLAMP series ever.
Its fun to read, easy to follow, and never gets dull.
Sakura, the main character, accidentally opens a book full of magical cards which get blown away. She has to obtain all the cards and put them back to keep them from making a mess of the world. She is aided by Cerberus (aka Kero-kun), Guardian of the Seal (who has been chibified and was originally on the cover of the book she opened) and her best friend Tomoyo.
