Oct 08, 2007 Emily rated it 4 of 5 stars  ·  review of another edition Recommends it for: Canadians, sea-farers, dreamy linguists and so on.
This edition lends itself to reading in bed, with its textured cover and endearing size. In fact, it makes you so comfortable, that the beautiful and sad ending is even more so jarring, for by then, this little book has been sleeping on the pillow next to you. You've found yourself endeared to the main character, Teddy Bear, and then again, you're so endeared that the end is furthermore tragic and painful. Read it anyway, though, for it is lovely.

Thank you library, for your display of this book....more

I read this book for a high school French class, and it was one of my favorites. The French has a quiet, meditative sweetness to it and Teddy and Marie especially are very lovable characters. I went out of my way to buy my own copy of the book, and I brought it with me when I went to college.

very easy read, I like the way the author cut the fat out of the story, making it void of dull moments. Read this book for school and appreciated the choice

The packaging of my book is far more aesthetically pleasing than the cover photo and layout shown on goodreads
