Not enough about Abraham. There's a pointless detour on slavery (77-82) and a valuable but still distracted testament to the authority of the apostles. He has a lot to say about possible church organization of the time, which is speculative even if portrayed well. He was much better than some of his day, but makes a bigger deal out of racial themes than is warranted (and then overcompensates with frequent repetition about how race doesn't preclude blessings).

This is a well written book that relies largely on Biblical and modern scriptures to discuss Abraham and his impact on us. Although the book does speak about race and race-relations it is not at all derogatory or demeaning. A well written and short book explaining Abraham's relevance to our day and time.
Wow! Pulls so must together and gave me a better understanding of Abraham and his covenant. Such an all encompassing promise with so many aspects to it. Can't wait to read his other books.
