I read this book after my 19 year old son tragically passed right before Christmas of 2008. I came across Mark's name a short time after on the internet somehow, and emailed him. The next day, he not only wrote back answering my questions, but continued to comfort me with true compassion and total understanding during my most trying times. This book was like a life preserver at a time when I was drowning in grief over my daughter's sudden passing. His experiences helped me to wrap my head around something that required an expansion of my horizons. Ireland's book, this path, has done more to help me evolve than any therapist, medicine or anything else I tried. I highly recommend it for anyone searching for help with their grief.

Recommends it for: anybody interested is psi, especially mediumship and life after death
This book is wonderful introduction to who the author is and where he is coming from. I look forward to reading future publications of (hopefully) a more educational bent as well as of his late father's work.

Also, with watching the programs "Ghostwhisper" and "Medium" on TV, I started wondering more about where our spirits really do go. With this book the author searches for these answers after the deat ...more

The first 3/4 of the book was interesting, but I lost interest in the last chapters outlining the author's philosophy and attempts to explain the physics.

This book came to me at a time I so needed to be comforted by Mark's message. It is an awesome book, and I highly recommend it for all those who are missing their loved ones who have passed on.
