Broken Promises was the third book Broken Series and I would rate it a 4 star. I have read many books by Kelly Elliott and this book was another great romance! I loved the chemistry between Liza and Walker they will heat up your kindles. I had no doubt I would love this book because everything she writes always captures my heart in one way or another. Even though this is apart of a series it can be read as a standalone. I would most definitely recommend this book to others. I actually don't ...more

"Promise me Something...Wait for me, Liza."
"I promise, Walker, I'll wait for you."

Taylor Elizabeth aka Liza Morris and Walker Moore were best friends all of their lives, then developed secret crushes that blossomed into young love right before college. Their parents are best friends and they lived on neighboring ranches with intertwined family businesses. Going to separate colleges and the years apart brought new relationships and opportunities.

But a summer at home away from some distra

Oh my gosh I think this was my favorite in the broken series so far!!! I fell head over heels for Walker and Lisa aka Taylor. In the beginning of the book these two make a promise before leaving for college to wait for each other. Of course as time goes by promises get broken but love never dies between these two. We get both character’s POVs and the feelings these two still have for each other even though both are in relationships with someone else. I knew right away I did not like Walker’s ...more

Broken Promises by Kelly Elliot is the third book in the Broken Series. This book focuses on the story of Layton and Reed's children Liza and Walker, who had loved each other in some form or another since the day that they were born. This book was a 3.5 star read for me and I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a good romance that takes place in the heart of horse country.

Liza loved Walker for as long as she could remember and when he finally expressed that he felt the same way she

Broken Promises is the third book in the Broken series by Kelly Elliott. It can be read as a stand alone novel or in series order. The Broken series is a fantastic series that gives the reader outstanding stories packed full of emotional angst, red hot chemistry, and steamy romance.

Liza and Walker have known each other since birth. They were meant to be together. When they are about to leave home for college they make a promise to one another to wait for one another and finally

I am sssssssssssssoooooooooooooooooooo over Kelly Elliott's monotonous books!

I love the romance that only she can give but no! Please just think out of the box a little, please lady.
I don't even have faces for my characters because it all feels like exactly the same person repeating the story with a different name!

This is the result of me reading 3 Kelly Elliott books right after each other.
I am on overload... Makes me wanna read BDSM just for some tough love.

I could puke ugh!

The first two books are the parents but this one is years later for their children. Walker and Taylor/Liza have known each other their whole lives as their parents are best friends and work together and pretty much share each others lives. Before they leave for college Walker asks Liza to wait for him. She promises but couldn't keep it. Now college is over and they are both involved with other people. But can they stay away from the one they truly love? Nope!
It took some time for both of them to
Honestly what's not to love about a Kelly Elliott book! It's always nothing but greatness when you combine amazing characters, a great love story, some steamy sex scenes and of course a crazy ex (need to have some drama in there). I have almost read all of her books and it just makes me wish I lived in Texas on a ranch with super hot cowboys who know how to treat and love women. I can't wait for Ava's book, I only wish Jase and Taylor's (from the Wanted/Love Wanted in Texas series) book. Overall ...more

Really good book although it was kind of predictable. Unprotected sex, ex's and things are bound to happen.
Really enjoyed reading about Layton, Whitney, Reed and Courtney and for this to be about their children was a bonus.
Can't wait to read Ava and Jase's stories.
Worth the read.

Walker stood, pulled me up and brought me close. When he placed his finger on my chin, his eyes landed on my lips and I fought back a moan. He leaned down and brushed his lips against mine. We shared that first kiss slow, yet full of passion. Our tongues danced and we both moaned as Walker pulled me against his body.

When he pulled his lips away, he whispered, "Promise me something."

I swallowed hard and whispered back, "Anything."

Walker looked into my eyes and smiled. "Wait for me, Liza."

Yep I'm officially addicted to Kelly's Broken series. I hope it continues for many many books to come. This one might be my favorite because i have fallen in love with all of these characters so deeply that there wasn't a single point in the book where i wasn't totally enraptured. We've read Whitley and Laytons story, we read Courtney and Reeds story ... now we get to read about their children falling in love. This book was from both Taylor and Walkers point of view ... love the dual POV books. ...more

Kelly Elliott is probably one of my favorite authors. I fell in love with her books in the Wanted series and I have been hooked ever since. I have yet to start the Broken series until now. I haven’t read the first two so I am not familiar with the parent’s love stories but I loved this one. Everything that’s great about Elliott’s book with new couples for us to fall in love with. A new story that will show you just how powerful true love really is.

Walker Moore and Taylor Elizabeth "Liza" Morris share a bond, growing up together, will first love prevail or will exes, suspense and an emotional journey separate them leaving a broken promise?

From beginning to end Broken Promises had me intertwined in a world that Kelly Elliott perfects to a tee. The Broken series has been a favourite of mine, from the beginning and in the third book in the series; the narration follows Liza and Walker. From the first moment, to their time apart to the reconn

This was very much a Kelly Elliott story. Broken Promises is filled with just that -- broken promises.

Taylor Elizabeth Morris, daughter of Layton and Whitley (Broken), has gone by Liza much of her life. As Liza returns to spend one final summer on the ranch with her family before moving to Dallas to live with the man who wants to marry her, she finds herself torn between the promises she has made to Keith, and those she made years before to Walker Moore.

Kelly Elloitt has done it again. She has given us a beautiful love story that we can get lost in.

Liza and Walker have been best friends their entire lives. They grew up around each other, their parents are best friends which is why they are so close. Eventually, it is time to head off to college. Walker and Liza have feelings for each other and they eventually tell each other how they feel, Walker asks Liza to wait for him. Sadly, distance can be an enemy.

AWE, always so romantic, that was lovely.

I loved Walker and Liza, so sweet together.

I was taken aback, when I realized they have both got new partners, and wondered how in the heck were they going to get their HEA.

Even though you felt their new relationships were good, there was something missing or there was something stopping them from making firm commitments.

Both their other partners were very insecure about Liza and Walker's friendship.

When Walker and Liza were both at home after graduating,

Wow oh wow... I always think at the end of Kelly's books that the next one can't top the one I just read, yet EVERY time it happens. Walker and Liza's story was so good. I like that it wasn't really your typical story of boy and girl are childhood friends turn into forever with a bit of trashy whore trying to split them up or someone has major injury etc. I really like how she had me on edge with the obstacles they faced. About the time I thought this is it, this where drama inserts the story ...more

Kelly Elliot writes the most amazing love stories with characters you adore. I love that she keeps giving us back the characters we love and miss. This is the story of Taylor/Liza, the daughter of Layton and Whitley and Walker, the son of Reed and Courtney.

Broken and Broken Dreams were 5++ star reads for me. I knew from the glimpse I'd gotten of Broken Promises that it was going to be a tough read, and it was. I struggled a lot with Walker & Liza's story, mainly because I fell SO in love w/ their parents' stories, that I already had so much love in my heart for these two. I didn't want them to have to struggle so much, but the first half of the story is just that.

I have read all Kelly Elliott's books and this was as good the other ones, but there has been something that bothers me a little and it's the profesional choices of the women. I understand completely the idea of a woman as a mother and to come to the realization that that's the path for her life: motherhood. There are thousands of Stay At Home Moms and thanks to them the world is better, my problem is that in the books all choose the same, they had dreams and suddenly they are no important ...more

Could Not Ask for a Better story

I am Never disappointed when I read a Kelly Elliott book. Liza and Walker families are Best Friends so the families are raised together and so life has a way of bring these two together and they fall in love in their teen years. Promises are broken when made as your teens.
