Disclosure: I received this audiobook in return for an honest review

Take one professional sports star, a cheating wife, an old school cop, an ambitious district attorney, a late night shooting and what do you get? Those characters and that scenario form the foundation of R. C. O'Leary's Hallways in the Night. Just when you think you know what happened, the story unfolds yet again and you realize everything you thought was true and certain, wasn't. What initially seems straightforward is later fo

A Great Engaging Thriller!

Couldn't turn off my ears! And, what I believe to be an accurate reflection of the distressingly politically correct atmosphere that approves the increasing number of incidents that are tried in the "court of public opinion" long before the facts are known and/or twisted to satisfy political agendas. This book was gifted to me by the narrator in return for an honest and timely review.

The story grabbed from the beginning, it drew me in and I did not want to stop listening.

Having written Hallways in the Night, I read the book a thousand times. But thanks to Steven's work, the book felt new and original to me when I listened to the audio version.

Dave Mackno, a veteran cop, leaves his stake-out to go after a speeding car. The driver of that car was Remo Centrella, a home baseball hero. He refuses to follow Mackno's orders, fighting his arrest and getting into a fight with deadly consequences. The District Attorney rules that Mackno is to blame for Centrella's death and has to stand trial. The decision will be made whether Mackno acted in self-defense or if he murdered the athlete. We are reminded how threads are moved by the powerful, ...more
