I have to confess that I wouldn't have read this book if Amanda Jenkins hadn't written it, as it's in the middle of a series (originated by Tiffany Trent) and I'd never just pick up book 5. But even though you're aware as you read that you're missing back story, this book reads nicely on its own; it was swift-moving, well-written, suspenseful, and had a very sympathetic murdereress/heroine on a mission (which she's forgotten due to amnesia). Oh, and a bit of romance and costumes (the setting is...more

I loved the whole Hallowmere series, so if you think it's a waste of time to read an incomplete series, try to look past that and enjoy these captivating books. Although from what I understand this book is not by Tiffany Trent, it still feels like earlier books. I think this book is my second favorite in the series. Readers can finally sympathize with Christina, who wasn't a very dynamic character compared to the other main characters in earlier books. Rory and Christina's romance is also one of...more

Interesting read. It was the first one of this series that I picked up so I was a little confused about some references to things and people from previous books. It was still good enough that I have gone back and collected the books in the series and am reading them now. I will let you know what I think once I've read enough of the series to form a better opinion.

Unfortunately, Hallowmere, like many other series published by MirrorStone, has been discontinued. Please join my petition to get it back at http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/c...

So far in the series, this book has appealed to me the least- just because of the ending (to me, the ending of a book can make or break it, and largely determines whether I will ever want to read it again). Sweet, but rather tragic...

Really liked the first three couldn't put them down, but from 5 onwards it became a bit too bizarre for my taste..

Out of all of Corrine's friends, Christine was my least favorite. I was surprised by how this book ends.

A beautiful story albeit with a few off putting turns. This was done much better than the last, but I'm still dismayed that the author quit the series.
Shadowhunter
creepy, but awsome :)

Another meh in the Hallowmere series. Whats-her-face of the two souls is just as hapless as Ilona was and the story moves just as slowly. I did like DeGlisse though. He was at least interesting.
