One of my favorite people wrote this book. He is a storyteller from North Carolina. It's hard to read without imagining his accent along with it. Makes you feel like you are a part of his family. I also love all of his stories on CDs, they are great for the whole family to listen to.

Donald Davis's stories are funny, heartwarming, comfortable, the kinds of stories that make you feel good about being in the world. The only thing better than reading his stories is listening to him tell them.

I herd this guy at the story telling festival in North San Juan that I went to years ago with Geba. It has never stopped cracking me up. Just read with a southern drawl.
