This is the companion book to the hit, "Twilight," which I'm absolutely obssesed with... Unfortunetly you can only read the first chapter of it on Stephanie Meyer's website or as an addition to the UK's version of Eclipse at Borders...either way it is amazing...She says she might try to get it published and says she has already written over three hundred pages, so I have a feeling that in a few years, I might be the happiest reader ever, with my own copy of Midnight Sun. It is from ...more

The interesting thing about "Midnight Sun" is that it hasn't been published yet...at least not in a 'hold-in-your-hand-book' form.

"Midnight Sun" is a companion volume to "Twilight". In "Twilight" we meet Bella, a high school girl who moves from Phoenix, where she lived with her mother, to Forks, Washington, where she will live with her mother.

While in Forks, Bella first sees, and then later on, meets Edward. "Twilight" is the story f...more

After reading Twilight and falling in love with it, I went onto Ms. Meyer's site and that's how I found the PDF of the first chapter of this book! Ever sicne then I've been DYING to read it! In fact, after reading Twilight and knowing the story, I think this version would be so much better! Seeing it in a different point of view is going to be amazing, and it's great that she's writing it instead of some other author (like Darcy's Story for Pride and Prejudice).

Also, after reading the depres...more

I have read the first chapter of this, as posted on the author's website. If the full version is ever published, I hope the rest of it is this good. I have a serious beef with the Twilight series - the plot is always interesting to the point of addiction, but the writing skill level is always mediocre at best (soap opera at worst). It's probably a bad idea to evaluate based on only twenty pages, but I have to say that, for whatever reason, the writing in this advance chapter is markedly...more

This is just the first chapter of a (hopefully) pending book. Basically, it is the book Twilight, but written from Edward's perspective.

The chapter is great. I have said many times that I prefer the other characters in this series - everyone other than Bella Swan, who I feel is ineffectual, boring, clingy and just not at all interesting. This chapter reinforced that feeling.

I can't wait til it comes out.I have read the first chapter to this book which you can find on stepheniemeyer.com and there's also very funny chapters that were taken out from the other books such as Bella getting loopy off of percaset from her birthday fiasco in the book newmoon. It was really funny. But yeah, this book is destined(said so by the author) to be in the vampiric boy,Edward Cullen's perspective.I cant wait.^_^

By the way all you Twilight fans,Twilight shoud be going out to theaters...more

I really enjoyed the preview chapter that Stephanie Meyer has on her website. I can see this story being infinitely more interesting from Edward's point of view since Bella is a silly, immature bint. I've always wondered what was going through Edward's head when he was talking about killing an entire classroom full of children just to get to Bella's neck. Hilarious! That scene in this "novella" alone made up for his less than traditional vampire whines and moans. I would LOVE for t...more

You can find a rough draft of chapter one on her website and just by reading that chapter I hope she will continue though I’m sure it would be a daunting task with the rest of the series. I greatly look forward to reading about Edward’s feelings, and what he thinks. I feel that it would be like reading a completely different story. I hope that she will consider doing so once the success of the first book is released, which I’m sure it will be. :)

This book has not yet been published, but you can get the first unedited chapter on Stephenie Meyer's website. It is the Book "Twilight" written from Edward's perspective (twilight is from Bella's perspective). The first chapter is absolutely fabulous and I can't wait for it to be published. There are rumours that it will come out spring '09, but Stephenie Meyer's official statement is that it will be in a couple of years. The sooner the Better!

This book (20 pages) is all about Edward Cullen's first sight of the love of his life, Bella Swan. He talks about how he wants to bite her and things like that. To read it you have to go to stepheniemeyer.com, click on "more projects" and then you will see a box and it says Midnight Sun.
Scroll down the page and you will see, in blue letters, read Midnight sun" or something like that and it will come up.

I only read the one chapter that is avalible but being able to put together both sides of the story is really interesting. In the first chapter of Twiligh you just think that Edward is a freak but when you get to see the things he was facing it all starts to make sense. Edward was fighting an inner battle against himself and thatis what grabs the reader and keeps them reading.

I can't wait for this!!!! Stephenie Meyer is one of the most talented young adult/fiction/fantasy/sci-fi/romance/horror (quite a category... found at Borders)writer of this day and age. Her books have interested those who do not even care for typcial vampire books. I highly recomend this and the previous three. But caution: THEY ARE ADDICTING!!!

Great concept...to change the point of view in "Twilight" from Bella's to Edward's...Edward is Meyer's strongest and best developed character and her love for him shows in the 20-pages released...the words are carefully chosen and ring true to the character...for Meyer fans, perusing this is a must...you'll enjoy it immensely.

So far pretty good.

Well the unedited version on Stephenie's site was fantastic and I highly doubt that the future 'end product' will be anything less.

I can't think of any other place I'd want to be than inside Edward Cullen's head. He's my exact brand of fiction.

Unfortunatly this is just ONE CHAPTER of what she started writing from Edward's point of view of Twilight. I loved it. I read all 20 pages and am wishing for more. How rude to just leave people hanging like that. I do hope that she publishes Midnight Sun so the story can be told from the other point of view.

Have you discovered this treasure? It's only available on Stephenie's web site, but oh my gosh! It's Edwards story of Bella's first day at Forks High School! It's so fun to read, about 20 pages long. Give's you something to do, along with reading The Host, while waiting for Breaking Dawn to come out.

To say I am excited for this book is an understatement! Twilight from Edward's perspective, one of my most favorite male charcaters ever? I am blissfully awaiting the opportunity to delve into this book and experience a story I know and love from my favorite charcater's point of view.

I recently got hooked on the Twilight series, which is from the point of view of Bella. This book has not been published yet, but it recounts the events from the point of view of Edward. I read the first chapter on line and can't wait until this is available to read all of it.
