This intermediate-level title describes the history of Japanese warriors, their weapons, way of life, and eventual disappearance. Text is well-organized and presented alongside plentiful photographs and reproductions of Japanese art. This holds high appeal for many reluctant readers. 6th grade teachers may wish to include this title in their Japan studies.
