It’s the end of term, and Mason Wilson has been assigned an unusual homework project for the holidays: research a conspiracy theory. Normally he’d just leave it until the last minute then cobble something together from Wikipedia, but this project is different: his teacher will submit the best project to the competition being run by a national newspaper—a competition which has a GBP 20,000 prize, a prize his family needs.

Mason knows that to win the prize he’s going to have to do something special

This book is a great book for children to read on their own but even better to be shared with the whole family. Filled with wonderful lessons and an educational approach to literature that is put together in an entertaining way, this book will help with the development of your child without them even realising it is happening.
M.P Jones manages to write an engaging piece that is a refreshing alternative to books about vampires and zombies as well as the twenty minute pieces of dross that pass for

I tried...really really really really really tried to finish this book. I gave up at 56%...

This book follows a twelve year old boy. He is trying to de-bunk an urban legend to win a contest...

The way this book is written is too old for a twelve year old...too science-y for me...and just really...weird.

I just don't know who this book would appeal too!

If I ever decide to finish this book, I will update this review.

I read this as a bed-time story for my 7 year old son, and we both absolutely loved it. There is a genuine mystery and enough tension without being utright scary. The plot is cleverly and properly worked out. Best of all, it is very positive and wholesome and was a joy to read. I shall be l;ooking for more instalments in the series.

This was an interestingly quirky little tale, about a boy who is trying to write a story about an urban myth for a school project.

Kept the interest going right up to the end.
