A real treat, set in 1903 when Louisa must leave her homein London after the death of her father and sets off for Glastonbury to care for an ailing Aunt.It soon becomes apparent that Louisa has the gift of "second sight" and is drawn to a spot at the Abbey, where she has vivid visions of women from an ancient past, the "guardians of the Dark Well". A beautifully written book about the wells of Glastonbury that actually exist. It contains a blend of historical information and modern romance where women are guided towards their life's calling.
