This is, without a doubt, the best source on safari hunting in Texas I've ever read. (Insert obvious rejoinder here.) Okay, so I'm not a hunter, but I did enjoy all the historical asides and the author's description of his adventures in the field. Also, I did learn stuff--who knew there were 5 varieties of squirrel in Texas?

If you own a gun and dream of pointing it at large animals on the dark continent but lack the bank account to support it, safari hunting in Texas might be the way to go. And
