This is the graphic novel of the comic book series by Alan Moore, who has been called the greatest graphic novel writer by many. In this story, a young woman named Sophie embodies the powerful force and entity known as Promethea. With this power, Sophie is charged to bring about the apocalypse.

This series is very interesting. It's not my favorite by Alan Moore, but it is still good. What's most interesting about it, is that the reader is rooting for Promethea, despite the fact that she is trying

This books was so fascinating, I love the concept and the characters. Definitely looking forward to reading more Promethea!

A fun twist on the prometheus myth, of sorts. The art is lovely. Sometimes the allegory and mysticism become a bit too much, though.

Alan Moore is an English writer most famous for his influential work in comics, including the acclaimed graphic novels Watchmen, V for Vendetta and From Hell. He has also written a novel, Voice of the Fire, and performs "workings" (one-off performance art/spoken word pieces) with The Moon and Serpent Grand Egyptian Theatre of Marvels, some of which have been released on CD.
