This book was well written and fits right in with romance books from the time of it's original release. It kept me entertained and I wasn't bored for a moment in this book. Brown is a great writer. I didn't really like the characters though. Megan's blaming Josh for her husbands death seemed a completely blind need to blame anyone. He just played scape goat for her and while I could get the need for someone to blame in a loss like that her behavior was beyond rude at times. I just couldn't get b...more

More from the summer of romance (and this book is rated on my five star romance scale)

As I plow through the romance genre, I decided to pick up another book of a well known, somewhat old school romance writer. Although I don't think I'll be picking up most of Ms. Brown's back list, I was not disappointed. She is a skilled story teller who kept things moving and really made want to head to Hilton Head island immediately.

I didn't love the book because I did not like the characters very much. The...more

Before I "review", I'd like to first mention that this was the very first audio book I have ever listened to and that this is only the second time I have read a romance novel of this type (i.e. Harlequin-like).

With that being said, my review will be based mostly on how the book made me feel and honestly, I can't recall a time a book had me full out laughing and giggling. Now this book was in no way meant to be funny. It was supposed to be a tantalizing developing relationship between Meghan and...more

Temptation's Kiss is another early book by Sandra Brown. I did enjoy this one. I liked Josh's character better than Megan's. I thought she was a bit wimpy for the "tough" business woman that she was trying to make herself into. I also thought she was a bit naive when it came to her late husband. This may be be the result of the time in which it was written. I liked Josh's pursuit of Megan. It's always nice to see the man know what he wants when it comes to love; none of this, "do I or don't I. T...more

This book is a fast read. It is pretty much without a plot, except for the girl to play hard to get, and the guy to be super determined.

The first half of the book is full of sexual harrassment and unwanted sexual assaults. However when the "strong willed woman", is asked to identify what harrasment she has suffered she can't. Then the "strong willed woman" tries a stupid game of "leading him on, and then hurt him by dropping him". Not well thought out, and definetly putting herself at risk... if...more

This book was with the book that I received, definitely so far a romance, and only 220 plus pages, started it as i have 5 more books to read for my goal. so far I recommend it. Anyone know how to add the title of books won? Saw it once and don't know what or where I saw it?

Well Megan is a big time hot shot in advertising and for the sake of her, tries to avoid an associate in another department. With the history behind them, try to figure out if it was meant to be,what she is really capable of,...more

I love Sandra Brown's novels. This classic romance was fine for one of its genre. I found it annoying that the dust jacket summary suggested the heroine worked for a radio station, when the book clearly had her at a television station (otherwise, why all the visual ads?) I also have difficulty with people choosing to drink wine "on the rocks". Maybe it was cool in 1983? I was little then, and have no idea....but overall, the story is interesting.

This was a quick read. I liked the characters and how they were portrayed in the book. Its a basic romance book of a man knowing what he wants and waiting for the opportunity to impress and encourage a younger female. Her role was hard to get as she was confused with her husband passing away. You can see that she has matured and understands more as the book goes on.

Sometimes the library has very little to choose from when I'm looking for an audiobook for commutes or to play while I sew, and normally I can suffer through some pretty bad stuff. But this is literally terrible and I can't go on. Immediately returned.

Megan, young widow and workaholic at a television station, desperately tries to avoid her late husband's former boss - with whom she once shared a kiss - but Josh wants her again and will stop at nothing to have her.

This was a good story with likeable characters and as the title suggests: a LOT of kissing! I received this book as a Goodreads Giveaway along with A Treasure Worth Seeking. Thanks Sandra for the bonus!!

Temptation's Kiss was included with Fat Tuesday when I won it in a Goodreads Firstreads giveaway. It was nice to get an extra book as a surprise.

One of only a few compact disc I have ever heard. The story was ok, but thought the performance a little off putting.
Bree
Not a fan of this book, but I'm too big of a Sandra Brown fan to list the many reasons why.
Sheryl
If you just want "love," this is the story to read. If you want a plot, forget it.

In a word, disappointing. Not up to her usual high standard.
Dawn Bursey
It was an enjoyable book with a lot of spelling errors.
Mike
I like the later books by Sandra Brown better.

This is a story of love at first sight. The night before her wedding Megan shares a passionate kiss with Josh, one of her husband-to-be's best friends. Shocked by her response and feeling disloyal, Megan manages to avoid Josh after the marriage, only to find herself pursued by Josh after her husband succumbs to a coronary a year later.

The story is about a woman who is being pursued by her dead husband's boss. The woman is very successful and thinks that she has earned a promotion based on merit but our alpha male lead has plotted the seduction for three years.

Ok, I tried. I really don't enjoy romances, but I do enjoy Sandra Brown. Well, it's been over a year now and I just can't force myself to finish it. Ick.
