A four-cornered circle sounds like a contradiction in terms. Circles are supposed to be smooth, perfect geometric shapes, without any awkward angles or bumps.

I think the title embraces a broader meaning of circle - a social grouping. The four corners of this family circle are twin sisters Louise, luxury goods retailer, and Marie, budding novelist, and their partners. Louise is divorced from suburban solicitor Joe, but as the family's legal advisor, he remains a key player in their affairs. Marie

Really enjoyed this book for the first three quarters and what I was thinking was a possible 4 star rating then went down a notch into a 3 star. The ending just sort of went flat!
