My interest for this groundbreaking digital comic series by Mark Waid and Peter Krause was piqued by a Bleeding Cool article that brought attention to the bonus material included in this edition. Waid originally based Insufferable on two former-friend creators that he knew. Bleeding Cool thought it was based on the infamous Grant Morisson and Mark Millar fallout, which has some merit because it Waid had a working relationship and perhaps close ties with them.

Mark Waid (born March 21, 1962 in Hueytown, Alabama) is an American comic book writer. He is best known for his eight-year run as writer of the DC Comics' title The Flash, as well as his scripting of the limited series Kingdom Come and Superman: Birthright, and his work on Marvel Comics' Captain America.
