I've read other books in this series (Livonia), so I was very excited to see one on Downtown Ann Arbor! Great pictures and very interesting history and anecdotes. Really enjoyed finding out how Ann Arbor was founded and developed through the 1800's and early 1900's. Makes me wish I had a time machine to visit it in person!

Disclaimer: I'm friends with the author, but would've read and enjoyed the book even without the personal connection.

As a downtown Ann Arbor resident, I ate up the local history and photo details. Made me realize how much I ignore or take for granted in the buildings I walk by every day. (Love also that the city has such a rich beer history!) This would make a great gift for anyone living in Ann Arbor.

A nice pictorial history of Ann Arbor. Images of businesses, homesteads, and other locales that are accompanied by anecdotes and factual tidbits.
