This is a rating based off of the version of Scarlett I read, which is the Reader's Digest version. What I liked most about this book, is that instead of Scarlett getting Rett back at the end of "Gone with the Wind" after she learned how wrong she had been, it made her grow up, and actually learn and mature, which made her truly learn her lesson -in a good way.

This book is on my top five favorite books list. I have read this over and over, I adored the story. I was really impressed with how the author took Scarlett through the process of growing up. Much, much better than the rediculous made for TV movie they did with this story.

Just finished this in a week. It was one of those books I couldn't wait to go to bed and read! The first half was so good. As good as the original. Second half, not as good. Although I still loved it. Definitely reccomend it to any of you GWTW fans!

If you love Gone with the Wind then you might just like this book. I love Scarlett O'Hara but they make her grow up in this book and she matures and I'm not sure I like that! I liked Scarlett because of the "ninny" she was!

This was nearly as good as Gone With the Wind. The author stays true to the story and style. It also has the happily ever after ending but you gotta wait for it.
