It is the wonderful story of a little Panda bear who receives a paint box from his father. The box has all the primary colors, which are mentioned in the story. After his masterpiece, Panda bear is colorful too!

This was one of my favorite stories when I was growing up. My copy is old and worn out, but I still read it to my son! It is full of color and shows kids that they can be creative.

Another childhood favorite. Perhaps my initial artistic spark was because of this book.
Alicia
This is a cute little book about a panda who is painting and mixes his colors.
Adele

This book belonged to my sister but I loved it so much I kept it. (Sorry Cho.) Panda Bear gets a paint-box and as he paints a picture he learns what happens when you mix primary colors together. The pictures are basic but I love the way the paint looks, wet and thick. I also love that Panda gets covered in it and has to be bathed.

I read "Panda Bear's Paintbox" to my daughter Erin before she could read. One night she asked to read it back to me. And she did, from memory!, because she couldn't yet read! I read "Panda Bear's Paintbox" to Erin the day before her birthday for many years. Erin is thirty-three years old today and we both cherish this book!

It's not Margaret Wise Brown's The Color Kittens, but it still has cute pictures of the plain, black-and-white panda discovering the world of color.
