This book started off incredibly creepy and scary. I was super pumped because I love the horror genre in books and Passover seemed like the perfect fit for me. However, after the first 26%, I started to get bored and by 29% the plot had taken such a crazy turn and it turned into a movie from the Sy-Fy channel.
I wish this book had been written from the perspective of the law enforcement and not the Sheltons. Not only are they boring but they're so stupid. Why would they stay in town if their chi

This story takes place in an ordinary town that we all can relate to. A place where we wouldn't expect supernatural things to happen. A place that is normally peaceful. A place where murder is not commonplace. The blended family is completely believable and the struggle between the temptation to fight amongst themselves or to pull together to survive is riveting. I have tried to give this book a chance, however I am only 35% of the way thru and have no desire to finish. The book started out with some promise, the story line sounded interesting and I very much enjoy a good supernatural story. This book however turned from the supernatural to bringing back dead animals, extremely strained parental relations, and characters that were semi normal one chapter would leap to an entirely different personality the next. I will attempt to continue this book in the ...more

Good Lord! Don't read this late at night, alone in the dark, unless you want to sleep with the lights on for the next ten years!

A community under attack by - what? No one knows, but it moves methodically, and one family at the heart of the story knows they are next. Piece by piece, they assemble the puzzle, but will it be too late?

The descriptions are terrifying. I couldn't put it down. You won't be able to, either. Read it!
