Very interesting biographies of many of the children who rode the Orphan Trains from New York to Louisiana during the period of 1854 to 1929. None of the stories were an in-depth biography (all but one of the biographies fit on one page), but I found it interesting and heart-wrenching how each of these children dealt with the events of their childhood. Most of the children were not orphans, but children who were given up due to their mothers'/parents' unfortunate circumstances.
