The sort of book you buy your dad for his birthday, or father's day, or Christmas, if he's your average sports-loving dude. It's not bad, and it reads easily, but some of author's descriptions bothered me (Percy Montgomery a ferocious tackler? Did Joyce ever see him play?) and there are some sloppy mistakes (Ernie's wine farm is in the Helderberg area, not the Heidelberg area). And why is Fanie de Villiers described as a Free Stater?
