For those able to access it there is a magical place called The Wishing Room. For their children, it is called The White Room, a place where dreams can become reality, good or bad and even love can be found.

Anika has been guided by The White Room toward a future she dreams of, an accomplished dancer, a beautiful girl, and her heart is set on the one young man she cannot have. Tyne feels unworthy of Anika’s love, notwithstanding their six year age difference. His past is riddled with guilt and se

Another one I just couldn't put down by Mindy Haig. A sequel to "The Wishing Place," we get the pleasure of seeing where life has taken the Rossi's and their loved ones; and how "The White Room" is a part of the next generation. As the characters grow and develop over a period of time, Haig crafts this story told by multiple perspectives that flows seamlessly and compels you to read on until the wee hours.

Nothing against the paranormal genre, but I just hadn't really thought of myself as a paran

This is a great sequel to The Wishing Place, it continues on the story about the special place The White Room.

In the first book Valerie called her special place The Wishing Place, but in this second book, her daughter Anika has a similar place called The White Room. Anika's place is not like her mom's at all, her place shows her glimpse of bad things happening and it never shows her enough to figure out what the bits and pieces are about. She spends part of her life trying to figure what everyt

The White Room by Mindy Haig

I have read everything Ms. Haig has written and each time I finish a book I say..."that one was my favorite!". Well guess what, this one was my actual favorite. As the sequel to The Wishing Place, it picks up with Nick and Val's kids and is their experience from childhood into early adulthood. What I truly enjoyed was how Ani and Christopher had a completely different experience with Granny and the room. More of the wishing would have seemed like the f

I'm so sad...I don't want it to be over. Thank you for another amazing read, Mindy Haig. You have an incredible ability to weave the words directly into the reader's soul.

The White Room is the follow up story to The Wishing Place! They are the same place, but Ani's White Room seems to only show her sadness and death, whereas her mother's Wishing Place showed her the future, with love and hope. The thing is, everything is NOT what it appears to be. Sometimes you mus

I loved this book!! Once again, Mindy Haig writes a marvelous book of predestined love. It's book 2 of The Wishing Place, but can be read as a standalone. This is the story of Nick and Val's (the Wishing Place) children who are the central characters. They both visit The White room which shows them the future or the past. Anika knows she's meant to be with Tyne but he is overcome with his concern of the age difference and a shame he feels of his birth situation. He doesn't feel worthy and falls ...more

Mindy Haig has done it again. She has written a story that is so beautiful and well-written that it begs to be read and read again and again. This is the story of Tyne, Anya, and Christopher. Tyne is the boy that Anya is in love with and dances for him in the white room. Anya is a dancer and though younger then Tyne by quite a few years, she is sure he is the one. She can visit the white room and often dances there when she is upset. She is able to see things from the past and future when she is ...more

The White Room is the sequel to The Wishing Place. It's a story about how an event from the past threatens the future. The White Room can show the past and the future, things that can be changed and things that are fixed. It can grant wishes and crush dreams. When a stranger takes an interest in Anika, her future becomes tangled with the past as The White Room leads her to the place that can either be a new beginning or the ultimate ending.

I hope you will enjoy it!

I am a graduate of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. I was born and raised in New Jersey so I am very much a city slicker. I moved to Florida to marry my sweetheart after college and marveled at how little there was to do and how much one had to drive to do it! But due to a job change and an abrupt move, we settled in Austin Texas where the motto is 'Keep Austin Weird' and I try my ...more
