Jaci and Cam grew up in a small town in Oklahoma. They have loved each other since she was 10 and he was 15, and he began rescuing her from the town bullies. But terrible, terrible things happened to Cam for the next three years. Things that killed a large part of his heart and soul. Jaci runs into Cam and his twin brother, Chase, 18 years later when they are all working for an exclusive ménage club in Washington DC. Yes, the twins are into ménage and make Jaci their reluctant third. But basically this book is about how Jaci breaks through every painful inch of the wall Cam built around his heart. Cam and Jaci love each other desperately, but he is too damaged to allow himself to express it fully. So Jaci drags the reader with her, step by agonizing step, as she helps him to heal.

Yes, there is a very sweet, wonderful HEA ending. But trust me. This is a dark novel. You’re going to need a box of tissues to survive it, and you’ll start using them by the first chapter. No kidding. Like me you may fall totally in love with Cam by the first chapter, and his pain will break your heart all the way through, chapter by chapter. Okay, you’ve been warned.

Now I need to go and apply some salve to my heart. It’s been to hell and back, and it’s completely devastated. All I can say is I’m glad I write sweet, sexy novels that leave my readers in a great mood when they finish them. Writing an emotionally painful novel like “Wicked Pleasure” would probably kill me. Yup, no doubt about it.

Okay, I went back and read this one again in November 2008. Fortunately, I knew about the trauma, so it didn't bother me. This time around I fell so in love with this novel that it has become one of my top ten fav erotica novels. No kidding. Cam just captured my heart!!!

It's also a bit of a dark, emotional tale, more so than any of the other Bound Hearts books. I don't think I'd consider it one of my favorites of the series, but I liked it a lot.

Wicked Pleasure is the ninth book in Lora Leigh's Bound Hearts series. The series is based on a group of men who enjoy (consensually) sharing their women with a third.

I was looking so forward to reading this book and I was not disappointed. Cameron Falladay is in love with Jaci Wright. He also likes to share his women with his twin brother Chase. Hmmm…I really enjoyed it, but I definitely had my moments of frustration. Jaci has had her eye on Cam Falladay since she was a pre-pubescent girl. Cam has gone long enough without Jaci, and he’s determined to claim her. Of course, Jaci and Cam pick up where they left off, but not without Chase! Oh, no! Cam will not have sex without his trusted third. At first, Jaci doesn’t mind. She knew it was a package deal, and some smoking hot ménage sex ensues. But it doesn’t take long for Jaci to begin to want more, and tension begins to build between the threesome. At this point, I began to grow impatient with Cam – his refusal to even cuddle with Jaci after sex! He kept skirting away and refused to sleep with her. Cam is one seriously damaged man – and the reasons behind his darkness are horrific – far worse than I imagined. But even so, IMHO, it wasn’t enough to justify Cam’s peculiar behavior. I especially was irked by the whole “can’t look at her in the eyes during sex unless Chase’s there…or else she’ll see the darkness…see into my soul!!” *cue the dramatic music*

Thankfully, Jaci is willing to do what it takes to break down Cam’s defenses, and with the encouragement of Chase, she’s able to do just that. The chemistry between the h/h was incredibly hot, and albeit slowly – I enjoyed watching Cam change for the better…on the hot sports car...in the rain *yes!*…in his bed.

There are definitely some loose ends regarding Chase, so I’m looking forward to his book, “Only Pleasure.” I also loved the side characters, Courtney and Ian Sinclair, so I am inspired to hop backwards in this series and read their book too.

Members sign confidentiality agreements and The Club has a ‘punitive committee’ composed of very powerful individuals who can and will ruin anyone betraying their secrets financially, socially, and politically if needed. However, The Club is more than just a sex club; it’s also a social setting for like-minded men. Women only gain admission as ‘guests’ of members. Our heroine, Jaci Wright, has recently been hired to do some decorating renovations to the interior of The Club.

Cameron and Chase Falladay are identical twins in charge of security for The Club. The story of why these two sometimes need to share a woman is slowly revealed throughout the novel. They are also members of The Club and have been waiting for Jaci for seven years. Waiting for her to acknowledge her own needs and accept what they need from her. Now that her new job has put her within reach, Cam is done with waiting. He knew she was ‘the one’ for him from the time he was 18 and she was 13. He left for the military at 18 and returned home wounded in both body and spirit. He is tormented by memories, anger, and dark lusts…but more than anything, he’s tormented by the thought of losing Jaci.

Jaci has her own problems and issues. She’s managed to make some pretty powerful enemies and is torn by her love for, and need to protect, Cam. She doesn’t understand why he needs to share her with his brother. This ‘unnatural desire’ is what scared her away seven years ago. But now, THIS time, she feels smarter and stronger…surely she can make Cam, and only Cam, her own. Her efforts to tame Cam (and sometimes Chase) and her struggles to be independent and solve her own problems without relying on Cam drive him nuts!

These two (okay three) certainly have a lot of issues to iron out. The intense love scenes and powerfully erotic power struggles are part and parcel of the story. I have been a fan of Ms Leigh’s books since I read my first e-book by her. This is yet another of her stories that will have a spot on my keeper shelf.

This book starts out very hot, and that's were you think it is going right...well it does stay hot, but Cam is hiding a very dark secret and Jaci spends the whole book trying to break through to his heart.It does have a HEA ending and is worth the read.

For one, the author seems to have a short list of words that she tried to work into nearly every paragraph as many times as possible. I think she was going for a world record - how many times can you use the word "pure" in a single work of fiction? (Pure this, pure that, pure crap!)

Second, the "alpha" male characters came across as smug, self-satisfied, dim-wits, not strong men. The rants from the main hero (Cam) were redundant and ill fitted to the character - who could ever think like him?

Third, the protagonist was not only an idiot woman, she also was too much of a work of fiction to be even remotely sympathetic and believeable. A virgin who has m-f-m menage five times in three days and suffers no painful consequence? That's not erotic - that's sexual torture.

Forth, the book was redundant. It could have been cut in half and no one would have noticed the different. I got the distinct impression I was reading passages that had been cut and paste repeatedly. And the sex scenes were nearly identical most of the time. It made menage sound like the most boring routine possible.

Then there were the logical leaps. The key evidence that just shows up in the 11th hour with no hint it was coming. Or the random relationship that the reader didn't know about between Chase and another character until he was forced to kill her. Or, the most bizarre of all, Chase and Jaci both know Cam was abuse as a teen, but they keep demanding to know how, as though that's going to help. Not once do either of them suggest he see a therapist - unbelievable.

This book was frustrating and not worth the time. I doubt I'll read anything else by this author for a long time.(less)

E' sintomatico che, durante la lettura di questo romanzo, il mio occhio letterario mentale (OLM, sua maestà) continuasse a cadere sulle mensole dei classici. Per la serie 'piuttosto di continuare a leggere di questi due che si accoppiano come pazzi mi sparo i Buddenbrook'. E' un segno del destino, ci devo dare un taglio con questo genere.

Nonostante il vago senso di fastidio - legato al genere e non alla storia né all'autrice - sono riuscita a portare avanti e a finire questa lettura in tempi tutto sommato brevi. Se non fosse stato scritto dalla Leigh questo romanzo avrebbe fatto la fine del topo: chiuso e dimenticato. Siccome, invece, l'autrice è una regina dell'erotico il disturbo post traumatico da erotico (PTELD, post traumatic erotic literature disorder) è annegato nella narrazione diventando un semplice smuf mentale.

La serie Bound Hearts ci sta arrivando a spizzichi e bocconi ma non bisogna farne un dramma: i collegamenti tra un libro e l'altro sono così blandi che si possono leggere anche sparsi. Infatti la Leggereditore non si fa problemi a proporre solo alcuni titoli, per ora due, e solo romanzi che hanno lo stesso elemento in comune: la condivisione (comune, condivisione, perdonate la ridondanza) stile sandwich. Il trio magico, il menage, questa volta è composto da - attenzione sijori e sijore - due gemelli DUE e la solita ragazzotta dagli orifizi super elastici. Mi vorrete scusare se cado in osservazioni così terra terra, ma mi risulta praticamente impossibile esprimere in modo differente certi concetti di grandissimo rilievo morale.

Se sentite in bocca un saporaccio incestuoso sappiate che anche io ho avuto lo stesso retrogusto ambiguo per tutta la durata del libro: il fatto che due fratelli facciano sesso contemporaneamente con la stessa donna non rende l'atto - in un certo senso - incestuoso? Anche se i due non si toccano MAI, non provano nessuna attrazione sessuale, il solo fatto che trovino sessualmente eccitante la presenza del fratello - e, quindi, non di un terzo a caso - non rientra nel concetto di incesto? Ho preferito fare finta di niente, trascurando volontariamente il tipo di relazione tra Chase e Cam perché altrimenti non sarei riuscita ad arrivare alla fine.

Il menage, in questo caso, è più di una semplice pratica sessuale votata al piacere perché per Cameron (il protagonista) è un meccanismo di difesa: a causa del suo passato fa fatica ad instaurare un rapporto affettivo con le persone, Chase incluso, tanto che per lui il sesso è un vero problema. Appena ha fatto, ha finito ed è tutto bello contento gli sale l'ansia e non riesce proprio a toccare né a farsi toccare, non riesce a condividere lo spazio, non dorme nei letti, non si lascia andare a gesti d'affetto, nulla. Cam è una specie di automa con l'aspetto di un uomo: anche se soffre non sa come esprimere i suoi sentimenti. In linea di massima ha un potenziale enorme, quello di un eroe intenso e tormentato ma, ahimè, il contesto e il genere di appartenenza lo trasformano in un uomo comandato dal suo pisello. Cam è convinto di poter ottenere tutto con il sesso, perché lui è talmente bravo e con il fratello così cosmicamente orgasmici che ogni donna non si pone più il problema e si lascia imbottire peggio di un haggis. Non c'è grande introspezione in Cameron, sappiamo quello che gli succede e sì, in effetti il trauma c'è, ma non c'è una vera evoluzione, una risoluzione moralmente accettabile.

Quindi boccio il personaggio principale, troppo pisello-centrico, troppo mono dimensionale e fissato, poco flessibile, poco romantico, poco propenso ad aprirsi al lettore e all'eroina, poco realistico...insomma, non mi piace. Promuovo Chase, il gemello co-protagonista, solo perché ha dimostrato di avere un carisma più reale, più presente di Cameron, e perché è emotivamente più intenso e credibile.
Per quanto riguarda la sottiletta fila e fondi della situazione, Jaci, potrei dirne di ogni. Tanto per cominciare anche lei è assolutamente irreale. Se qualcuno ha delle prove che esistono donne come lei, vi prego fatemelo sapere così mi rimangio quello che sto per dire. Jaci ha 28 anni ed è vergine. O meglio, è vergine da uomo, cioè si è auto svergi...sì, insomma, si è privata dell'imene da sola con l'aiuto plastico di vari oggetti falliformi. Ha passato tutta la sua vita sessuale a infilarsi questi giochini - contro cui non ho nulla da dire - con lo scopo unico di prepararsi a Cameron, all'invasione dell'ultracorpo. Non è che le è saltato per la testa di fare sane esperienze sessuali con ragazzi e uomini, no! Lei ha giocato da sola tutta la vita, perché l'ormone si risveglia solo per lui. Quando arriva il momento...ovvero quando Cam e Jaci concludono per la prima volta e - sottolineo - Jaci fa del sesso con un uomo per la prima volta, entra in gioco anche Chase.
Ora, parliamone.
Questa non ha mai fatto sesso - vero - e al primo colpo, letteralmente, si prende entrambi i gemelli. Entrambi, at the same time, if you know what I mean. Fatemi capire se è possibile, se è normale che questa aspetti tutta la vita e poi ZAC! stile Didò si plasma con una nonchalance che forse solo le pornodive. Diamo il beneficio del dubbio sulla fattibilità della cosa, evidentemente si è scatenata con i suoi piselli di gomma, ma ho la certezza che nessuna donna sana di mente accetterebbe una situazione del genere senza una contestualizzazione. Farlo con consapevolezza, per il solo e puro piacere va bene, ma farlo senza sapere il perché, senza capire il motivo che spinge l'uomo che ami a pretendere che tu accetti di farti tromb...di fare sesso anche con il gemello (tutti assieme appassionatamente), beh la vedo dura. Una donna del genere deve avere qualche problema. Jaci ne ha: è stupida. Perché non solo si fa fare tutto, ma si fa anche fregare ogni volta che pone la domanda. Appena il suo cervello elabora la richiesta e lei la mette a parole, Cam si sfila i pantaloni e i neuroni di Jaci partono per la tangenziale Est e rimangono in coda al casello. E' stupida, stupida.

Eppure, eppure...i personaggi sono solo una parte della storia: la Leigh è così brava a gestire personaggi assurdi e trame strane che non ci si accorge dei difetti se non alla fine, a libro chiuso. La lettura scorre senza intoppi - anche se non è delle più appassionanti - il finto intreccio giallo trova la sua conclusione e il lieto fine arriva, anche se non lascia la soddisfazione che ci si aspetta.
In linea di massima, quindi, il voto è bassino ma senza rancore. Non mi ha schifata, non mi ha turbata, non mi ha coinvolta. Voto neutro, per un romanzo che non è dei migliori della Leigh.(less)

There's more to this book than meets the eye. Three and a half stars, but don't let the synopsis fool you.

This one's a bit more lust-driven than my taste for erotica usually runs, but there's such a powerful story here that I don't want to discredit the book just because it isn't particularly suited to me. I don't know why, but for some reason when I got to the big reveal, I feel as though the storyline was parallel to another book, though I can't for the life of me remember which.

Anyway, For the most part I very much liked this story; I love the torchered heroes. However, a few things prevented me from ranking any more than 3 stars (3.5 if I could have) *note some parts of spoiler are graphic and not for the faint of heart of underage!*

Lora Leigh is a favorite author of mine. No one writes a sex scene like her. She gives you a front seat into the sexual happenings of the characters. She usually matches the sex scenes with an equally scorching story.

What kept this book from being her usual 4 - 5 star novel:

I have nothing against threesomes or foursomes or fivesomes but I don't get why it's so "romantic" in books to have the main girl have sex with two men when she obviously loved only one of them. I get it if she had love both of them in terms of "I can't live without you-you both complete me" and not in a "You're both hot and you guys are a package deal" kind of way and she ends up with both twins at the end ~~which is unlikely but hey, it's a twist.~~

Honestly, I would have liked to give this book 2 and a half stars, but, since I'm pretty sure that's impossible I decided to give it what it deserves, instead of rounding up. This book is really nice, but to me, it's like all they ever do is have sex. I mean, the first time, I was like "okay, that was long, but it was okay." So I continued to read. okay so I did not see THAT coming... I still don't get why people likes threesomes or sharing your lover. Fine, it'll be more pleasurable for the female but shouldn't the POSSESIVENESS override the sharing?

To be fair, it is WAY better narrated than Haven of Obedience . There's emotional turmoils and inner struggles going on,

This is the first of the Falladay Twins books. I love these guys and I really wish that Ms. Leigh had let them have a permanent menage. I think it would have gone a long way to healing both men. Wow! If I were to compare this to fire, I'd say it'll take a lot to extinguish the flames. This is one hell of a scorching novel (pun intended). I got more than I bargained for. Since this is an erotic fiction, I'd have to comment on the sex first. Almost every chapter has them, they're never boring, they're always creative and intense; and just with one look or touch, passion arises until they explode to ecstasy. 5 stars for the sex!

But wait, there's more! For those of you who're looking for a quickie, this is not for you. This is a full-length novel that tells of the little girl who's always rescued by her dark knight, and when she's ready to give herself to him, she ran away after finding out she's about to be I loved the story.

Characters from her previous books reappear here (Courtney, Ian, Khalid) to name a few and Lora Leigh takes us back to the club and how it's being redesigned. That's where Jaci Wright comes in. She's Courtney's friend, and the Falladay twins (Cam and Chase) vouched for her since they've known each other for years.

It's noticeable in all of the books in the Bound Hearts series that the characters were apparently pining and lusting for each other for a long time, and it comes to a point when they act upon their desires. It's amazing how the characters grow and develop, and how the relationships develop through mostly sex; but there's also the trust part, which both Jaci and Cam have difficulty giving to each other.

They're really meant to be together and aside from their raging lusts, one thing they have in common is their stubbornness. Jaci didn't want to depend on Cam for what happened to her, and Cam was ruined at a tender age of 15, ashamed to turn to Chase for help. What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger, and that's how both Jaci and Cam survived their own ordeals.

I felt for Jaci whenever Cam doesn't literally want to sleep with her. He just couldn't let go of the past and it was really annoying and frustrating, but understandable as the story went further. The unraveling of their histories was slow and it was mysterious until enough clues and investigations turned up, they all figured it out.

The sex was always amazing and leaves them sated, but because of their deep connection to each other, they always want more. Cam is the more aggrieved party and though he hurt Jaci many times, he made up for it in the end, and when everything went out in the open through a twisted circumstance, I liked how Jaci broke up the twins' fist fight, that's really witty of her.

It's quite an emotional read, there was a lot of tension and conflicts but because they love each other in a level that transcends the physical, everything turned out well.

I checked this book out following a conversation about erotic fiction with a fellow librarian. I took this title, she took another and we later compared. We concurred on the following:
a) the format is the same as any other romance, it seems as if the lovers are destined for eachother but a lot of drama is in the way...and of course there is a very mean person at the peak of the drama
b) the language is very strong during intimate scenes

Partiamo dal personaggio di lei, Jaci: una ragazza tecnicamente non più vergine (ha perso la verginità... con un vibratore!!!), che però non ha mai avuto esperienze con uomini; fin qui, tutto più o meno accettabile (a parte la questione vibratore, ma vabbè...), se non fosse che per amore di Cam non batte ciglio quando il suddetto la mette di fronte al fatto compiuto, ovvero "O con me e mio fratello, o niente". Lei prova timidamente a opporsi, ma nel giro di un nanosecondo, dopo appena essere stata sfiorata dai due, ci si butta a capofitto senza pensarci due volte! Il personaggio di Jaci è davvero scritto male e sviluppato peggio, così come la storia d'amore (?) tra i due: statica, senza uno sviluppo logico, noiosa, ripetitiva nelle dinamiche. E noiose finiscono per essere anche le numerosissime scene di sesso, in cui c'è sempre la costante di lei che inizialmente è recalcitrante, ma che poi non se lo fa dire due volte. E come se non bastasse nel giro di pochi giorni va pure a vivere con loro, tanto per rendere più agevole la pratica.
Inoltre anche gli accenni al club di cui fanno parte i due fratelli sono poco chiari e confusi, ma questo probabilmente è da imputarsi al fatto che questo romanzo non è il primo della serie; sta di fatto però che i riferimenti a coppie e pratiche del club, già evidentemente accennate nei precedenti romanzi, rendono la narrazione ancora meno fluida.
Anche la parte gialla è messa lì giusto per creare suspence, e si fatica a trovarne un senso.
E il finale? Non ho capito bene i timidi accenni al rapporto tra Chase e Moriah. Si conoscono? Erano amici? Amanti? Boh... o mi sfugge qualcosa, o anche in questo caso il problema è creato dalla mancata pubblicazione dei libri precedenti. (less)

I don’t know what to say about this book. Someone else commented it was poorly edited and I have to agree with that. It was difficult to read, the language didn’t flow. I had to re-read some parts, and with the two male characters (Cam and Chase), having such similar names you lose track of who is doing what in the sex scenes - LOL, I think there were definitely some extra body parts being flung about.

This book was good, but not entirely what I expected. Jaci and Cam have been in love with each other forever, so I expected things to kind of fall into place when they were reunited. Instead, while there was a lot of hot sex, there were too many secrets and a lot of emotional frustration. Both were hiding past traumatic experiences that they both stubbornly refused to tell one another. Wicked Pleasure & Only Pleasure
These two books are companion pieces and should be read in order or you'll be having several "huh?" moments with the plot in the second book. Excellent reads: suspenseful action, likable characters [it's so much fun to watch the heroes try to avoid 'commitment' - when they are already committed body and soul:] and definitely hot sex scenes.

I wanted to like this book more than I ended up liking it. It has very hot sex scenes which become very repetitive but then again how many ways can you do it. Cam and Jaci are keeping secrets from each other, but unlike other books, his secrets don't really need to see the light of day. Her secret, she should tell everyone she meets.
