to rate and write a review for such a 4.5 kg mountain of knowledge is a no easier task than to read it. As somebody has aptly titled it to be the Bible of medicine, the book has lived upto it's reputation thru the generations, enlighting and inspiring the 'Gods of earth' i.e. The Doctors...

I am tempted to say "this is more than just a textbook," but that would be a lie. It is just a really really really big textbook. Maybe I am trying to lie to myself so that I forget that I read textbooks (and this textbook in particular) ALL THE TIME.

This has to be the silliest review of all but i love this book! I know its a textbook but every time i read it i learn something new...every medical student should read it! the writing is so precise and clear...the charts, diagrams and figures add to the understanding of the topic...plus its a gospel in medicine...u cannot be held wrong if u quote from harrison!
Lumayan membantu kalo ingin tahu tentang suatu penyakit. Meski kadang blank juga,(kadang? sering barangkali?.. hehehe) habis bahasanya dokter banget..
this is by far the best book written on Internal Medicine! is a shame they discontinued to use it in Medical schools.

Another gold-standard, this monster weighs in at about 4.5 kg or so (9 or 10 pounds, if you want to be a normal person instead of a med student). I know for a fact I'll be looking stuff up in this guy long after I've graduated. Unlike most textbooks (but exactly like all the thickest medical ones), Harrison's is really a series of smaller articles, arranged in chapter form. A really, REALLY long series. Ini adalah salah satu dari buku kelas "berat" yang saya punya(literally) karena beratnya hampir 4 atau 4.5 kg, dan sulit sekali untuk dibawa-bawa.
Buku yang terkenal karena "mbah"nya buku penyakit dalam.
Selalu menjadi andalan dari dulu jamannya masih sekolah hingga sekarang untuk mencari referensi dan mungkin untuk dijadikan senjata kalau lagi berantem sama suami :P

A must-have for medical students. No I haven't read the whole thing (though I know one guy, a surgical resident no less, who claims to have read it through 3 times) but I still use it, even with my uptodate subscription =)

My parent's bought this book for me when I was a child and it just made me fall in love with Internal Medicine. You can't go to bed without skimming through a section.
