I love touch and feel books. They are such a great way for children to get involved in the books before they are actually able to read them....sometimes, before they are even completely able to understand them. The sentences are so short and to the point, that I was amazed to find how fast my daughter learned the different words throughout the story, as well as their meaning. I remember watching my daughter a while back with her book, flipping through the pages and pointing at key parts of the s ...more
Monster
This incredibly cute lift-the-flap touch book follows a young boy in a monster costume as he goes through out his house seeking out friendly looking monsters. The monsters are hiding behind various objects and the readers have to unfold the page to see the whole monster. The monsters all have a patch of a unique fabric that young readers can touch and explore. The surprise of the last layout is a mirror that makes the child a part of the story! The book is a fun one to share with the toddler in ...more

I absolutely adore this book! And my daughter does too. Very cute. Fun lift the flaps and touch and feel features. My daughter's favourite part is the mirror at the end: She loves to talk to herself!

My 29 month old's speech therapist threw early intervention came with this book to read with my daughter today.
I sat down and read along with them.
She sat well for the story and kept touching the touch and feel spots.
I been calling her Teggy monster since she was a couple months old.
Her first birthday party was monster themed.

So many great qualities to this book--great textures, flaps to look for the monsters, and cute rhyming story and pictures. Also a mirror at the end. It has all the makings of a perfect baby book, and my son would have us read it all day if we could.

My almost 2 year old loves this one. It has lift the flaps, touch and feel, repetitive text and mirror to see himself at the end.

This has a nicer rhythm than Little Hands Love. I would not buy it though. The textures didn't correlate with the words.

My baby loves this book, and the cutest thing is that she kisses herself in the mirror at the end.

My daughter likes this book. The monsters have fun textures, and she likes to lift the flaps to find the monsters. However, every time we get to the page about the monster hiding behind the door, she always looks toward the door of the room we are in, so this book *could* be scary for little kids. (My daughter doesn't seem scared by it.)
