While I liked many of the pictures and ideas I found the author to be particularly ignorant on the subject of Mediterranean. She made false assumptions claiming that San Antonio had a Mediterranean climate (which it most certainly does not)! She also claimed that Mediterranean climates were arid. While there is a dry season in such regions, the amount of rainfall in the wet seasons is very untypical of an arid region.
Very useful overview although stylishly aspiratuonal rather than culturally centred.
