This was beautifully written, for one thing. I loved the depth given to the protagonist who, in the original text, is treated more like an object or idea than a person. I also found it interesting that Alonso Quesano/Don Quixote barely features in this story at all...because he didn't actually have much to do with the real woman he idealized. I found myself completely bored along with being utterly annoyed with the italicized words. I felt that not every single item or random word needs to be pronounced with such importance. 2 stars was the highest I could go.
