Recommends it for: farm and spring requests
A simple spring book for lap time, I include animal sounds. 3/21/12

Used again in PJ Story Time and Lap Time. 3/27/13

Used again in Lap Time (w/animal sounds) 4/1/14

Used in PJ and Lap Time (adding animal sounds - asked the toddlers what sounds the animals make to have them participate.)

I really enjoy the pen and ink pixelated illustrations and the introduction to many animals and the names of offspring. Don't know that the farmer's wife having twins follows the pattern of animals. I would rather the word 'baby' perhaps.

This book talks about the farm animals having babies in the spring and gives the names of the different animal babies. It also talks about the farmer's wife having babies.

I could see using this one to teach the names of the babies and the adults, but this one didn't capture Youngest like I had hoped.
