Back in 2000, when I was 6 years into an 11 year absence from comics, I remember hearing about the X-Men relaunch and that Grand Morrison was taking over, and it sounded like a terrible idea. "xmen, but, well...they're new"
this is truly a great xmen tpb and marks the morrisons astonishing start to his most recent xmen writing excursion. it just seems like the story is so much more interesting and so much more is happening without being convoluted. also, many interesting things happen that immediately get you hooked. and if it doesn't the ending will!

Always been a fan of the x-men, I grew up on it, but Grant Morrison changed the world for the better. He did amazing things will all of the characters - especially Beast.

This is so freakin good it's ridiculous! Morrison writes like a demon on speed.
This is some of the best X-Men writing I have ever read. OMG!

Started out fun but quickly faded for me...I bailed on it, but might return at a later date.

Not many X-Men stories better than this. Didn't want to put it down for a second.

It's Grant Morrison trying to breathe some life into superhero cliches. Compulsive.
