This is about the only book about a second Mexican-American War I can find and, I'm happy to report, it's really good.
The writing is a little odd in places, but nothing that takes you away from the great story. The pet-peeve I have is that the pages are too small. Like, half the page is blank is the text is pushed into columns, making the book seem longer than it actually is.
Again, that's just pointless criticism, The story is great, writing is good, and the alternate history even better.
