This was a pretty good book. I can't believe I have never found this series before. It is a paranormal one and usually I am all over them. It had a good amount of alpha male and sexual tension to keep me going. And the whole "mate" thing gets me everytime.
I believe this was the 5th book in the series and I will go start back at the beginning. This is a standalone book however it would have been helpful to know some more details about "The Others" before reading it. ...more

WOW! I love the way Christine Warren writes and I'm a HUGE fan of her "Others" series. "Walk on the Wild Side" is the 5th book and this time she serves us a wicked hot helping of werelion, or as they prefer Leos. If you've missed out, here are the other books in order in this series: "Wolf at the Door", "She's No Faerie Princess", "The Demon You Know", and "Howl at the Moon". They're hot and they're supernatural.

Another terrific book in the continuing tale of the Others. Set almost a year after the coming out, Kitty Sugarman is in for a big surprise.
After a horrifying car accident, Kitty Sugarman (ironically named) shifts into a Leo, the lion form of a werewolf (aka a werelion). She's scared and needs answers. NOW.
Her mother finally admits to her that her father isn't dead like she had been told, and he lives in Las Vegas. So Kitty hops aboard a flight and heads west looking for the answers to w...more

This is more of a stand alone novel than a continuation of the "Others" series as it has a change of setting from New York to Las Vegas and an entirely new set of characters. When Kitty uses dormant shifting powers to extract herself and her mother from a car wreck, she discovers a supernatural father she didn't know she had. She journeys to Las Vegas to meet him and to learn how to control her shifts into a werelion and is immediately dropped into jealous Pride politics.

Kitty (I cringe at the name because of the context) is a were-lion who finds herself in Vegas to meet the father she never knew she had. She also meets Marcus, her fathers right-hand, who teaches her how to be a were-lion. Her father, the head of the Red Rock Pride, dies from a prolonged illness, but Kitty finds love with Marcus and finally finds a place in the world.

Oh my gosh I loved this book! I love Warren's "Other" series as much as the next person but I was just blown away at reading this one. If i had to say I would put this as number 1 so far from the series. I admire the way she plotted the storyline because it was great how the "long lost daughter" had more manners and more spunk than the Felix's actual family. I don't know how she does it, but Christine Warren will almost always get a 5 outta me.

I was rather disappointed with this book. I expected much more and found it sadly lacking in comparison with Ms Warren's previous 'the others' books.
It's a great stand alone book that doesn't need to be read in the order of the series as it doesn't continue with the same characters.
But I still enjoyed the story between Kitty and Max and the chaos.

This is the story of Kitty. She finds out that she is a shapeshifter when she is involved in an accident that almost takes her life. Before that she thought she was just a regular full human. Her mother hid her heritage from her. Now her biological father wants her to come to him and sends his second in command, Marcus.

I was looking for something fun and relaxing and not too weighty. This book delivered on all of that. Which is why I gave it 4 stars, it delivered on thoes expectations. If you don't want a little romance, and little suspension of disbelief, you won't be happy with this book. If that is what you are looking for you'll be good.

I was in the mood for something short, off beat, and furry. This author gives a satisfying paranormal romance with a contemporary twist. Thoroughly unrealistic, it completely takes you away for a few hours.

I enjoyed the story, but it has very graphic love scenes and some language that I did not feel comfortable with. Can't people keep these things private?!
Pretty formulaic. Although it does get kudos for dealing with were-lions which isn't the norm for were-lit.
