An edited volume introducing the field of ICU aftercare by the group at Whiston Hospital in Liverpool, England. While the book has the typical problems of edited medical texts, it was great to get a feel for the ins and outs of the field, direct from the people who have been at this for decades and done important, wonderful work of both research and advocacy. As we work to set up our own system for ICU aftercare, we have found this text very helpful.
