This is a straight male bff-in-denial testosterone-filled camaraderie fest. As in they totally are best friends but are too straight to admit any such thing. Well. Unless being chased by rockets, death cyborgs and getting shot at by armies of special agents and/or militias.Maybe. Sort of. At least one of them is. I'm a total sucker for this type of thing.

An homage to interracial cop-buddy action flicks of yore, complete with bullfight showdown, bionic evil dude with a solitary red X-Ray eye, New Orleans as corporate theme park, and a buxom heroine in a jumpsuit who is innocent of her status as biological weapon. It stays firmly within the action genre, and does a very good job of telling an enjoyable story about two former special agent...more

Something of a sleeper series, this mini-series is a the best action-spy-thriller Hollywood hasn't made. Quips are exchanged, plots are twisted and many things either go boom or get shot or stabbed. I almost feel like saying too much else gives it away. But, yes, it's so good it makes me want to kick Michael Bay in the throat. Again.
