Danielle The Book Huntress (Angels Weep For Goodreads)
My goodness, the hero in this book is the biggest jerk in Harlequin Presentsland, and that's saying a lot. He pretty much seduced the heroine into an affair and dropped her like a hot potato when someone lied and said she stole some valuable artifacts from the museum that she worked at supported by his mom. Did he not know what kind of person she was? It was fairly obvious she wouldn't have done this.

So she ends up having his baby and goes to make a life for herself, her loser sister, and her ba
I was hoping for a fabulous wallbanger, but I just got a bad book. Take the soaking wetness of a Penny Jordan heroine, the ping-pong conversations of a Lucy Monroe story and the arrogant assholeness and icky pillowtalk of a Sharon Kendrick hero -- plus the obsession with fellatio -- and add a healthy dose of “what the hell happened?” I seriously wondered at least once if the ebook had somehow gotten out of order because one minute the heroine is sick and the doctor is doing a pregnancy test, the ...more

Had read this book long time back, such a horrible book, the jerk hypocrit dumbheaded hero and spineless heroine, the incident when she kept her child with that druggie sister who was making out in next room it seriously raised questions in my eyes of her being a good mother,i completely understand she cannot throw her sister out and not to forget her financial problems cause of which she cannot rent another house for herself and her daughter but least she can do is leave the daughter with neighbou ...more
Can you say "A-hole" kids? I seriously wanted to harm the H in this book. Yes, he's imaginary (Ms. Milbourne, how could you?), I get that. But the non-stop blackmailing and name-calling was a little much. I'm waiting for the day one of these h's say to the asshat hero, "See ya in court douchebag".

The best way to describe this book is a love, hate relationship between Charlotte, and Damon. Fire, and ice. The chemistry was red hot, the emotions were raw, and intense. They wanted to hate one another, but the passion kept drawing them together. I loved little Emily in this story. She is 3 years old, and stole my heart. My heart went out to Charlotte and everything she was going through with her sister. The author described the pain family’s goes through when they have a loved one addicted to ...more

It amazes me how these Harlequin authors think that women like reading about verbally abusive alpha males (I refuse to call them heroes) and doormats and call it a ''romance''. This story was downright deplorable. He never apologizes for the way he treats her, and he still thinks she is a thief. I know that this is just a story, but if a man ever treated me the way these jerks did, nothing, not even threats, will make me submit to him. Ever. I would love to for once, read a Harlequin novel that ...more
DNF Terrible.
The hero and heroine were in love with each other but when a theft occurred the hero blamed the heroine and sent her away not knowing she was pregnant. After a bitter betrayal by the man she loves she kept her daughter hidden for four years but now the truth has come out and he won't leave without his child.. or her mother.

The ending of this book sucked monkey balls. I absolutely abhorred it but the rest was pretty good.
H definitely annoyed me and overall just a good not great read, but at least his immediate love for female child was deep and powerful.

I grew up on a small farm on the outskirts of Sydney and as a keen horse rider, often competed in local gymkhanas and even broke in a few horses from time to time. As I was surrounded by animals, I decided at an early age to become a nurse, however I couldn’t stand the sight of blood and so opted for a career in teaching. It’s a bit ironic that I married a surgeon.

I read my first Mills & Boon
