"Serpent In The House: The Birth of Violence in Families and Society" offers a plethora of information on violence ranging from when violence really took root in America to tips on how you can manage violence in your own life. I enjoyed reading this book as it came from what appears to be a therapist's perspective. Client examples were used to illustrate points as well as real-time and historical acts of violence (school shootings, the Holocaust, etc.). The examples helped me better understand ...more
