My 3-year-old daughter LOVES Dora. And now that we're going to bring a new, baby sister into the house, she's more excited than ever to read about Dora's adventures. Especially when it comes to bringing a new baby brother or sister into the house! I should definitely get my hands on more Dora books for her to read. She enjoys watching Dora and Boots explore and learn new things, and I can't help but enjoy the bilingual aspect.
This book is about Dora and her family gaining another human in their household. Dora is super excited and can't wait to meet her new sibling. I would use this book in my classroom to show my students that having a new sibling can be an exciting experience and adventure.
As the title says, Dora is going to be a big sister. A normal Dora type book, with going through different areas to get to home so she can meet her new sibling. In the end we find out she is a big sister to not one but two babies, a boy and a girl.
Like many Dora books, I find this incredibly pushy (and even though my daughter hasn't watched Dora in almost ten years, I still hear the character's grating little voice in my head), but it still manages to be more tolerable than most.
