Recommends it for: People who are not easily disturbed

This book is dirty and disturbing. That does not mean it is not worth reading but I imagine many people would not stomach it. It is a shocking look into a woman taking back her personhood - a theme in Zahavi novels. In this one, she first destroys it, and then takes it back with a vengence.

Helen Zahavi is a British novelist who worked as a Russian-English translator before becoming a writer.
