Its always disappointing when a sequel sucks. The first book in the series 'Sunday Brunch' was slow enough, that this one should have picked up speed.
It didn't.
I stopped at "Brunch Unplugged" (Chapter 15). I couldn't take it. There were a few good quotes here and there, but overall...it was boring.
I'm skeptical to give 'Sweet Magnolia' a try. Its part of the "Essence Book Club", so hopefully I'm not wasting my time. We shall see.

Pretty good book; not bad but nothing terribly spectacular either. I did not realize that this is a sequel to Sunday Brunch, so now I feel obligated to read that one as well.
From reading this book, I've learned how to depend on God for everything and I also learned how to pray more.
Wonderful faith based book. Nice to read something focused on belief, prayer and faith!
