Sage Valentine's roommate was found dead in their apartment, ruled a suicide. Unconvinced, Sage reaches out to her estranged aunt, Lucy Sharpe (owner of Bullet Catchers), to help her investigate. Frustrated when Lucy confirms the cause of death, Sage, an investigative reporter, decides to go it alone. Lucy assigns Johnny Christiano to go undercover and protect her niece.

The thrill seeking aspect of the story tied to the NBA dance team added a sinister element and it was confusing as I tried to

I call those books for inbetween, when I'm not really sure what to read next, cos they're good entertainment and I really like the first 2 books, so I had my expectations and when I read the first scene between Lucy and Sage I thought I won't be disappointed, but - oh hell - was I wrong.

The only thing that kept me more or less reading it, was the crime to solve. I was curious about what was really going on with that team of cheerleaders and had one suspect guessed wrong, but for the two main cha

'Take Me Tonight' has an interesting storyline regarding a reporter, Sage whose roommate Keisha has supposedly committed suicide. She discovers that it's linked to a fantasy website in which women sign up to be kidnapped and subsequently rescued. Unfortunately, everything else in the story is a complete mess.

One of the things I really dislike in any book is the misrepresentation of characters. For instance, Sage is described as someone who's smart, strong and tough but all of her actions indicat

Sage Valentine is determined to discover what role a thrill seeking website played in the shocking suicide of her roommate. Organizing her own "abduction" seems the way to go, only things don't go as planned when her hired "rescuer", Bullet Catcher Johnny Christiano, turns out to be more than she can handle.

Light and fun.

Johnny and Sage are great together and they certainly know how to steam up the windows. Sage is intelligent, resourceful and cool under pre
Enjoyed this book way more than the first and second books. Better hero and heroine all the way around.

Sage Valentine is a freelance journalist (aren't they all) and life is just peachy until Sage's roommate "commits suicide." But Sage is determined to find out what really happened to the bubbly, full of life cheerleader. So Sage goes to her estranged Aunt, Lucy Sharpe for help.

Johnny Christiano (half Italian) is loyal to Lucy; and Lucy knows Johnny won't ask questions about his assignment. So

Johnny was the sweetest most romantic guy ever. Sage was the most stubborn and suspicious woman ever. The two butted heads in the best way. Sage is trying to find out what happened to cause her friend's alleged suicide. Johnny works for the aunt Sage despises and must lie to Sage in order to disguise that fact as he follows his orders to protect her. Sage mistakenly assumes Johnny is a paid rescuer who also is paid for sexual experiences. He does nothing to dissuade this notion but does do

An interesting story with some exciting action but I didn't like the progress of the romance, the key element of trust was not developing. Sage questions her roommate's suicide and gets involved with Johnny when she investigates the situation.

Well, she did it again. She gave me a story that kept me glued to my bed with my book in my hands and unaware of the world outside that book.

I love the way she so smoothly adds substories so it doesn't feel forced. As she did with this one.

But, I've realized that there is something missing. A dept. I'm missing another dimension. It sometimes feels like reading an outsider's rapport of something and there is a dept that is missing withing it. The outsider didn't see everything that is happening.

If I could remember what this book was about I would review it. I remember sorta enjoying it, but looking back....
Call it a favored bias, but I had a few superficial reasons for anticipating the third installation of the Bullet Catchers series, Take Me Tonight. Pretty much everything should have aligned properly to make this Ani’s favorite Bullet Catchers book:

-- The summary blurb, as per usual, was intriguing.
-- Our Bullet Catcher’s name is Johnny and he’s a playful, flirty, Italian who can cook. (Have I ever mentioned before that a lot of the previous fictional male characters I’ve fallen in love with alw

Bullet Catchers are an elite group of personal protection specialists ruled over by sleek and sophisticated Lucy Sharpe. They are called into jobs where expertise in guns, technology, undercover, surveillance, and, yeah, defensive physical moves are needed. Their clientele must be referred and is comprised of the upper cream of society. While they are supposed to be professionals through and through, sometimes getting close to their principal (protected client) means letting the principal into t ...more

This is my favorite in the Bullet Catcher series. Sage Valentine's roommate was killed, authorities say it was suicide but Sage knows better ( or she thinks she does) She thinks it has something to do with the website that stages abductions. Sage is a investigative reporter like her mom was and will stop at nothing to figure out how her friend died and the weird happenings going on around her but what she doesn't realize is she's putting herself in danger. Johnny Christiano has it all, he can co ...more

I quite liked Sage, she was tenacious and wouldn't let go of a story, Johnny was a bit dim – way too much "ask no questions" for my liking although his cookery skills won him awards.

The story, whilst being wildly different to the previous ones, still appeared to follow the same pattern of having two separate criminals which muddied the waters. AND, yet again, one of the criminals was a close acquaintance – I know I was yelling at my Kindle very early on – "don't trust him!".

The plot, Sage (

Book 3 of the Bullet Catcher series. Johnny is your true bad boy. Not a guy who acts like a bad boy. He was on his way to being the badest after been taken in by his crime lord family after the death of his parents. His life changes when Dan (an undercover FBI) agent and Lucy turn him around and train him up to be a Bullet Catcher. Years later, he's totally devoted to Lucy for helping with his life, and that of his sister's. Lucy uses that devotion against him by putting him on a job to protect ...more

3.5 Another solid entry into this series, though it felt at times like it was lacking a little something. In this one we are introduced to Lucy Sharp's niece and get a peek into Lucy's life. Sage is estranged from Lucy but comes to her for help with a story she is researching. Lucy becomes worried about her and sends one of her Bulletcatchers to watch over her secretly. Of course, things become romantic between them pretty quickly and it is a surprisingly sweet romance. Johnny is indebted to Lu ...more

At first I wasn't sure if this was my style of book but once I got into it, I flipped through the pages. It's a whodunnit, suspense and romanctic story all in one which I found brilliant in how Roxanne pulled so many twists and turns that kept you guessing, wanting to absorb what's happening next. The leading characters were well suited in my opinion with the leading lady being strong, indpendent, and intelligent not requiring a knight in shining armor but had one anyway. This was my first book from Roxanne St. Claire and I bought the whole bullet catcher serie in the following days, so I guess we can see it's a hit.
I've read it again quickly while going through the whole serie and I must confess I've not been deceived.
I liked Sage and did not find her stupid at all; even though she jumps into danger sometimes during her investigation, we can feel that she's already gone through similar situations before without ever being worst for wear and that's why she goes o

The writing isn't bad and the story had promise. But the sex scenes seemed a little forced and to take precedence over the mystery plot. I'd have liked it more if the sex had been smoother, or the plot was fully explored.

Hummm... This sorta got boring for me and I got distracted with a different book. That's why it took awhile to finish it... Still interesting enough to pick it back up.

The story is about the young bullet catcher and the leader's misinformed niece.
4 stars - Romantic Suspense

Take Me Tonight, the third novel in Roxanne St. Claire's Bullet Catchers, is my favorite of the series to date, mainly because of the hero. Bodyguard/Bullet Catcher Johnny Christiano is a totally to-die-for-dreamboat. He’s flirtatious, charming, funny, romantic, sexy, and he loves to cook authentic Italian food for his woman…yummy! Personally, I think he could do much better than the heroine Sage Valentine, but their chemistry and banter is feisty and cute. The premis

I'm working my way through the Bullet Catchers while I wait for Face of Danger in the Guardian Angelinos series. Loved this book (except there was a weird age discrepancy in the end that confused me) and it might be a favorite so far. Johnny Christiano is so sexy and Sage was a great foil for him. The concept of a "kidnapping thrill site" is plausible, given what goes on on the internet, and the suspense in this one had me guessing and intrigued. This was the sexiest of the Bullet Catchers I've ...more

This was an OK-ish read. Glad I am done though because most of the book just didn't work for me. The beginning was good and quite hot but after that the book went mostly into stupid boredom. The romance itself was OK, though it was a lot of blah and honestly, where was the brain of the heroine after all? Sigh. But the whole "crime" was just sooo fucking boring and stupid and ugh. The solution at the end was a big: Seriously? Following a WTF? Not because what was behind it but because it was so d ...more
