The time has finally come to read it! The book, that is, or the other book. I guess I would be considered part of the People of the Book, meaning the Christians and Jews, since I was raised in that tradition. So far, I see more similarities than differences with the Bible. I'm looking for a good commentary if anyone out there can recommend one.

Majid Fakhry is Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at Georgetown University, Washington D.C. He has been a lecturer in philosophy in Lebanon and the UK, as well as in the US. His publications include A History of Islamic Philosophy, Ethical Theories in Islam and Islamic Philosophy, Theology and Mysticism: A Short Introduction.
