There was an awful lot of dumb in this one, particularly the fact that Dani's company managed to get to within a month of breaking ground on their new resort despite the fact that the stretch of beach is apparently super-important to a presumably endangered or threatened species and the local state senator (I think? It isn't precisely specified.) made protecting the coast one of the major elements of his platform.
