Felicia Gordon's book is a very good introduction to the Brontes, and especially to Charlotte Bronte. It extensively covers the strange personal lives of the Brontes and their deep attachment to each other. It also offers critical commentary on some of the finest of the Bronte collection.
A must read for anyone interested in literature, or just anyone who's reading Jane Eyre.
